Can I have some?

welcome to my blog.

a place to post. a place to eat oreos. a place to vent. a place to heal.

i started this blog so i could use a different outlet besides munching on fattening oreos. as if that has done any good... *mind wanders to oreo package in the house...*

then i realized that oreos can be semi symbolic. if you are are that crazy about oreos that is. which... i am.

eating oreos is therapeutic for me. when i am struggling or when i need a pick me up. they have chocolate. and sugar. both of which help lift my mood. not to mention that i eat them soaked with milk, which is my miracle drink.

i post my posts to not only get stuff out. there may be people who read my blog who have been in the same kind of situations as i have. i hope reading them and knowing that others have gone through things like i have, will be to you what eating oreos does to me.

and yes. i didn't capitalize anything in here. i just felt like it. deal with it.

munch up.

Echo

Yesterday, we had some neighbors over for dinner and play some games. We had two couples over. After dinner, which was a great success again with the crock-pot lasagna, we played Apples to Apples. We had a really fun time.

One of the neighbors had Bug on their lap while they played. Among the laughing and talking, if you listened really hard you could hear Bug talking. He would occasionally say "umm", "here we go", and other cute phrases. I realized a little bit later that he was copying (or at least doing his best when he couldn't) everything the person who's lap he was sitting on said. She had a little echo, and the cutest one at that. He would also laugh with us, though he had really no idea why we were laughing. It was so cute to hear him copy everything she said down to the umms.

He is starting into the copying stage, and we will have to be careful with what we say now-a-days. Not that we have the worst of language, but I shudder to think of him saying negative things that on occasion I say. Time to get Language Guardian! (as opposed to TV Guardian...)

I'm glad you had some friends over. We need to do that more often!
